The plant can be kept outside, however, it is recommended to bring it inside in case of frost. The Mimosa also does very well as a houseplant.

The Mimosa prefers a sunny position with a little shade, so choose a sheltered position in full sun. Feed and water acacias regularly until they are fully mature. As they mature, acacias can develop good drought tolerance. Acacia dealbata naturally forms a single-stemmed tree, but can be pruned back at a young age to produce a multi-stemmed specimen.
