As the common name suggest Schlumbergera truncata or the Thanksgiving cactus is known for flowering around the time of Thanksgiving (Novemeber) Often being confused with other holiday cactus's Easter and Christmas. They are native to areas of southeast of brazil and are epiphytes (grow on trees) in rain forests. They have fleshy trailing clawed edges and bright reddy/pink and white flowers. These plants need periods of lower light to encourage blooms.
