A beautiful evergreen tree, native to southern China. The Radermachera gained popularity in the 1980's. The sculptural trunk leads up to an abundant, glossy green foliage that branches outwards and upwards. A beautiful mini tree that can be kept compact in the home by pruning. This plant loves having moist (not soggy) soil, as lots of moisture evaporates through its foliage.

RATING: Easy/Moderate to care for. China Doll plant is a great indoor plant as it is tolerant of heated homes and doesn't mind warm, dry air.

LOVES: Radermachera sinica enjoys warmth, bright indirect sunlight and regular watering.

HATES: Cold draughts are disliked by China Doll plants. They also don't like being placed in a dark location or having overly dry soil.
