Parodia leninghausii syn. Notocactus leninghausii (Golden Ball Cactus)
The Parodia leninghausii is native to Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. A popular cacti that will start globular but grow to a columnar cactus with up to 35 narrow ribs that can reach up to 60cm in height and can produce offsets. The bright green stem is contrasted by the bristly golden spines which emerge from the areoles. Can produce yellow flowers in spring and summer.
