Mammillaria plumosa (feather cactus) British grown cacti, it's a flowering cacti native to North Eastern Mexico in arid regions often found growing on cliffs. This Mammillaria is classified as 'Near Threatened' in the wild due to the illegal collection of specimens. 

A clumping cacti with feather like spines which give it the appearance of cotton wool. This globular cacti can produce offsets which can each grow to about the size of a golf ball. The woolly/feather spines make this variety an unusual specimen but is also an important function for the cactus by shielding it from extreme sun and heat. 

RATING- Easy

LOVES- Well draining, porous soil. Lots of bright light.

HATES- Water-logged soil.
