Mammillaria nejapensis (owl eye cactus) British grown cacti but originates from Oaxaca, Mexico. This is a small globular cactus with white spines with brown tips that can grow up to 5cm, often in the shape of an owl (hence the common name). The lowest spine is the longest with the two above slightly shorter and top ones being the shortest! This particular Mammillaria is know for its dichotomous branching ( Stem divides into two parts). In summer it will produce small funnel shaped white flowers.
RATING- Easy
LOVES- Well draining, porous soil. Lots of bright light.
HATES- Water-logged soil.
