Kalanchoe tomentosa (Panda Plant)

The Kalanchoe tomentosa has thick leaves with a velvety texture. We have two varieties here. The 'Chocolate Soilder is the classic panda plant. It has pale greyish green leaves which have a chocolate brown edges. The other variant we have is 'Golden Girl', these leaves on this plant are more yellow and golden green. The Kalanchoe tomentosa are of the Crassulaceae family and are native to Madagascar, where they can grow up too 50cm. 'Tomentosus' is from the latin meaning 'felt like' which is where it gets it common name 'panda plant' due to its soft furry leaves.

    RATING- Super easy

    LOVES- A bright and sunny position (but not prolonged extreme light levels)

    HATES- Overwatering or being misted. Water when the soil has dried out or if the succulent leaves appear dry and wrinkly.
