Goeppertia roseopicta 'Rosy' syn. Calathea roseopicta (Prayer plant/ Painted Calathea)
This stunning plant has large almost round foliage. The leaf edge is a striking deep green, is paler towards the centre and has almost painterly strokes of pink which is almost iridescent. The abaxail (underside of the leaf) is a deep magenta-purple colour.
Rating- Moderate
Loves- Semi-sun is best, no direct sunlight. Needs high humidity. Water regularly through spring-autumn and reduce in winter, allowing the soil to dry out a little.
Hates- Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves and fade the leaf colour and pattern!
