Gardenia's are attractive, low maintenance plants with large, creamy white flowers and glossy green foliage. The flowers have a wonderful scent. Gardenia's bloom best in the warmer months of the year. These beautiful Gardenia's have a nice neat shape, but what you don't see in the photos is the heavenly scent when the buds open in the beautiful cream flowers. They look great on either side of a path or entrance to your home. These lovely Gardenia trees stimulate both the senses of sight and fragrance with their luscious mother of pearl bloom, lustrous foliage and exotic perfume - one of the most beautiful in the plant world.
Care
The Gardenia Jasminoides is a beautiful plant, but it does have some care requirements. The plant prefers a light position without direct sunlight. The lighter the position, the more buds the plant will grow. The Gardenia is a houseplant, but it can also do very well outside in the summer months! Water 1-2 times a week, preferably with as little lime as possible. Withered flowers are best removed to give the new flowers more space. Be careful though, as the Gardenia is slightly toxic to pets.
